The perfect companion for all your reminding needs.
What is this Growl thing, anyway?
When there's something that your computer is doing that's worth knowing about, Growl will tell you. Three new emails? Growl pops up. Safari finished that file download? Growl will tell you. Urgent Ding reminder? Growl can get it to you.
How does that work with Ding?
You can use Growl with Ding by checking the "Use Growl" box on the back of the widget. After you check this box, whenever a Ding reminder goes off, it will trigger a Growl alert
But wouldn't that get annoying?
It would, if Growl wasn't perfectly discrete about it. All of Growl's alerts appear in small boxes in the corner of your screen. There are several different styles of alerts that you can pick from.
What's a "Sticky" Reminder?
Most Growl alerts disappear after a few seconds, depending on you settings in Growl's System Preferences pane. If you want Growl alerts from Ding to stay around until you click on them, check the "Use 'sticky' reminders" box on the back of the widget.
So how do I get my hands on it?
You can download Growl from growl.info. To read more about Growl, visit Growl's about page.
Now that you've got Growl, you can head back to the main Ding page.
